This holiday season, SYZYGY Global was proud to sponsor the Gold Coast Builders Association Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council for a festive holiday luncheon, celebrating connection, leadership, and the growing impact of women across the building industry.

Held in an atmosphere that felt equal parts elegant and inviting, the luncheon welcomed more than 50 attendees from across South Florida’s construction, design, and development community. Despite the size of the gathering, the experience felt personal by design. Each guest was invited to introduce themselves, creating an intimate setting that encouraged genuine conversation and easy connection among peers.

Brianna Ashley and Jackie Hernandez of SYZYGY Global with PWB co-chairs Linda Garvey and Lauryn Calvert at the holiday luncheon.

Representing SYZYGY Global at the luncheon were Brianna Ashley, Sales Coordinator, and Jackie Hernandez, Senior Project Manager—two women whose roles reflect the breadth of leadership and expertise within our organization.

“I had the privilege of attending the Professional Women in Building Holiday Luncheon, sponsored by SYZYGY, alongside our Sr. Project Manager, Jackie Hernandez,” shared Ashley. “The luncheon was beautifully curated, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere despite the attendance of more than 50 guests. One of the most meaningful aspects of the event was the opportunity for every attendee to introduce themselves, creating an unexpectedly intimate environment that made it easy to identify and connect with like-minded professionals.”

For Ashley, the experience went beyond networking. Hearing the stories of other women—particularly younger professionals just beginning their careers—sparked a deeper sense of purpose.

“I was inspired by several of the young women who shared their stories of how they joined PWB,” she added. “The experience has encouraged me to pursue a position on the committee board so that I can contribute more deeply to the organization and our community.”

The GCBA Professional Women in Building Council is dedicated to advancing, educating, and connecting women in the construction and building industries through leadership opportunities, professional development, and community engagement. Sponsoring this holiday luncheon was a natural extension of SYZYGY Global’s ongoing commitment to supporting organizations that foster growth, inclusion, and meaningful collaboration within the industry.

As the year comes to a close, the luncheon served as both a celebration and a reminder: when women are given space to connect, share, and lead, the entire industry rises with them.
