When we launched SYZYGY Global, we didn’t start with a product—we started with a system. Long before we installed our first pergola or sketched a line of custom shade structures, we were building the technology that would power everything behind the scenes. And today, that same foundation allows us to manage up to 100 projects at once while delivering an experience our clients describe as seamless, elevated, and unlike anything they’ve encountered in construction.

With a background in software and a deep appreciation for design, I co-founded SYZYGY Global alongside Julie Hawbaker, driven by a clear vision: to combine architectural elegance with a digital backbone that supports high-volume, high-touch work. While many companies invest in digital tools as they grow, we did the opposite—we built our digital infrastructure first.
From day one, Salesforce was our command center. We customized it to serve as the heart of our operations, and over time, layered in Slack, Trello, and proprietary software to keep every phase—from client intake to engineering, permitting, and manufacturing—organized, transparent, and collaborative. Eventually, we developed our own internal project management platform inside Salesforce, tailored to the unique complexities of custom outdoor structures.
This infrastructure allowed us to scale rapidly without sacrificing what matters most: a personalized, luxurious experience.
What makes SYZYGY Global different isn’t just what we build; it’s how we build it. Our technology allows us to handle dozens of active installations across the country, each with its own schedule, engineering specs, permitting requirements, and design intent.
