Buccaneer wanted to give its guests a waterfront dining experience that could hold up to South Florida’s extremes: full sun one hour, a rain squall the next. The restaurant patio needed reliable coverage, and the resort’s pool deck needed private, shaded spots where guests could relax and take in the marina views—without either space losing its architectural character.
SYZYGY Global engineered a fully custom R-Blade pergola across three connected zones to cover the patio, each section cut and fitted to the building’s distinct angles like pieces of a puzzle. Because no two zones shared the same geometry, the team returned to the site mid-build to lift the structure and take additional measurements, ensuring every panel aligned precisely with the architecture before final assembly. The result is a seamless canopy of motorized louvers that opens to the sun or closes ahead of a rainstorm, backed by durable aluminum construction and concealed marine-grade stainless steel hardware built to handle the marina air.
Steps away, three K-Bana cabanas support the resort’s pool deck, giving guests their own shaded retreat with unobstructed water views. Finished in crisp white with adjustable manual louvers and integrated gutters, the cabanas echo the same clean lines as the R-Blade installation, tying the patio and pool deck together as one cohesive outdoor experience.
Together, the two installations transformed Buccaneer’s outdoor spaces into a destination in their own right. Diners get consistent comfort regardless of the forecast, resort guests get a private place to unwind by the water, and the property gains a signature amenity that reflects the same design and durability standards throughout.
